What is an SMA?
SMA stands for Separately Managed Account. Instead of buying into a fund, you open an account in your own name at your own broker, and the manager trades it to a mandate you have agreed.
In a fund, your capital joins a pool: you hold a share of a vehicle the manager controls, valued on the fund’s schedule, and you redeem on the fund’s terms. In an SMA, there is no vehicle between you and your securities. The positions are yours. The account is yours. The mandate is a document between you and the manager, and it ends when you say it does.
This is how the largest allocators have always invested with the managers they trust most.

Place
Allocators place capital in one flow, into their own account.
Discover, screen and place capital with programs suited to your mandate. Eligibility, agreements and broker-account onboarding run in a single flow — with the diligence record attached to every program.
